Not all of my occasional poetry is as bizarre or downright peculiar as the one I inflicted upon you the other week, and I realized this weekend that maybe putting that in front of all of you was a bad idea.
Especially since I’d like to send everyone on Level 2 and above a nicely made, traditional poetry chapbook sooner than later.
So, I figured, maybe I should post an actual sample of my non-insane poetry.
Now, I’m not saying I’m Edgar Allan Poe or Emily Dickinson, but at least this example wouldn’t lead to a 5150 hold. I hope.
In the interest of not scaring everyone away from my humble attempts at poetry, here is one that Al Sarrantonio published years ago in his beloved poetry anthology Halloween: New Poems.
